1Password launches a sign-in layer for AI agents and names Instinct a partner

AI agents need to sign in to your accounts to work for you. 1Password now offers a way to do that without handing your passwords to the agent.

What happened1Password announced 1Password for Agents on 22 October: the agent requests a sign-in and 1Password completes it from the user's vault without exposing credentials to the model. Its blog and press release name Instinct among partners, with the integration described as coming soon - not available yet.

Why it mattersAn official security partner naming Instinct puts it inside the emerging credential-trust layer for personal agents. If the integration ships, your agent could sign in through your own 1Password vault instead of seeing raw passwords.
